Czech Hotels

Czech Republic, landlocked country, population 10,241,138 est.2005, is located in Central Europe. It has borders with Poland to the north, Germany to the northwest and west, Austria to the south, and Slovakia to the east. Historic Prague (Praha), a major tourist attraction, is its capital and largest city.
The country is composed of two entire historic regions, Bohemia and Moravia, parts of Silesia and small sections of historic Lower Austria.
The Bohemian or Czech state emerged in the late 9th century when it was unified by the Premyslids. The kingdom of Bohemia was a significant local power during the Middle Ages. It was part of the Holy Roman Empire during the entire existence of this confederation.
The Czech landscape is quite varied; Bohemia to the west consists of a basin, drained by the Elbe (Czech: Labe) and Vltava rivers, surrounded by mostly low Czech Mountains such as the Sudeten with its part Krkonose, where one also finds the highest point in the country, the Snezka at 1,602 m. Moravia, the eastern part, is also quite hilly and is drained predominantly by the Morava river, but also contains the source of the Oder (Czech: Odra) river. Water from the landlocked Czech Republic flows to three different seas: the North Sea, Baltic Sea and Black Sea.

The local climate is temperate with warm summers and cold, cloudy, humid winters, typified by a mixture of maritime and continental influences.
Czech Republic enjoys remarkable popularity among tourists from all over the world. Thanks to its position in the very heart of the continent as well as its rich cultural and natural heritage, it has become a sought-after destination.

There are numerous mineral springs on the Czech territory which have been used for medicinal purposes since the early 15th century.
Prague attracts large amounts of foreign, tourists, due to the exceptionally low costs associated with nightlife.
The availability of Absinthe, the leniency of law enforcement on drug use and prostitution, and the large number of bars and clubs, located close together and often open late, serve as additional incentive for tourists.
Teenagers are increasingly attracted by the Stodolni street in Ostrava, where there are more than 60 pubs, clubs and bars in a single locality.
Try some Czech food like "Roast pork with dumplings and cabbage (Vepro, knedlo, zelo), Marinated beef tender (Svickova), and or Wiener Schnitzel (Rizek), just to mention a few.
Not to forget, best beer in the world together with Czech garlic bread (Topinky) as they used to serve it in Prague fames pub "U Fleku".
