Los Corales, Santiago de Cuba.On this one I was joined by my, sometimes, traveling companion and good friend Lianne. We found Los Corales to be attractive resort, quiet, on the edge of a 3km long beach with nearest village about 5km away. When we got there, it was afternoon, so right after freshening up, (couple of drinks), we hit the pool. First ones there. Not long after another couple showed up. Omemeeites. (Small town in Ontario, Omemee). Keith and Angie. It didn't take us very long to become friends and stay that way to this day. (In 2004 we went together on another Cuban vacation to Brisas at Santa Lucia and year after I had surprise them as I showed up at Sierra Mar). Together with them we had visited the school in the village with some small donations, checked the countryside and went to city of Santiago de Cuba, where we met with one of the friendly employees from our resort Ray. He showed us around the city, rum factory and surrounding areas. On the way back we stopped at some small car museum, just by the road. Some funny cars there. Another one of good vacations to Cuba. Food, basically the same like other resorts in Cuba, friendly staff, clean, safe and good beer. "No problemos, Amigos".
