This is the way we had seen Badlands, driving by.

South Dakota.

Minnesota to South Dakota, problems with motorhome.

KOA campground, Belvidere.
Early start again; after we left Rochester Minnesota traveling HWY90 West the scenery wasn’t too exciting, flat land, not much around. We had stopped very little only to refill the radiator with more water. By then I knew it's leaking and we had serious problem. After 470 miles driving, later that afternoon we had arrived in another KOA campground near Belvidere, South Dakota. Since it was Sunday we could not find any service station opened, so I tried to use the old trick plugging a leaky radiator by pouring a mustard powder into it while it was running and hoping that it’s going to work next day when we are back on the road. Located 1/2 mile south from the campground is 1880’s town we had visited to relax for a while. The town consists of more than 30 original buildings relocated to this site from throughout the state and furnished with thousands of unique relics of the old west.
That time of the year there is lot’s of people, mostly retired, traveling around in new fancy RV’s. We had talk to some of them; they were amazed how many miles we had drove so far in our old motorhome. They, having lots of time, traveled around approximately one hundred miles a day. We had over 1600 miles ahead of us, around 1400 miles behind us since we left Barrie and latest until Friday morning to get to Walnut Creek, California to attend the reception before the wedding next day.

South Dakota.
Monday morning we had drove just over one hundred miles, past the Badlands National Park to Rapid City, and stopped at first truck service station we could find to get the radiator checked. They could not fix it and had to order new one from nearest place which was; guess where? Michigan. We had been there couple of days ago. We parked the RV there at service station, rented the car, got a motel room and since we had nothing but time to wait, we had done some sightseeing. Our first visit was to "BLACK HILLS CAVERNS"

Our RV waiting to get fixed, Rapid City.
